What can I use without paying?

Reading your PDFs, annotating them with Apple Pencil, and exporting a PDF with your annotations baked in are free forever, and stay free. AI notes for your first document are free to try — no account, no API key, no card. After that, AI features need a subscription.

What does the subscription actually pay for?

The AI. PageNote sends the page you are generating notes for to a language model and pays that provider per request, so the subscription covers those costs. Each tier unlocks a set of models and a monthly allowance of credits; you choose which model runs, and cheaper models stretch the same credits several times further.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are managed by Apple, not by us: on your device open Settings → your name → Subscriptions, pick PageNote and cancel there. Cancelling stops the next renewal; you keep access until the current period ends. Refunds are handled by Apple through reportaproblem.apple.com.

I subscribed but the app still says I haven't

Open Settings inside PageNote and tap Restore Purchases. That re-checks your receipt with Apple. If it still doesn't unlock, email me — include which Apple ID region you're in and roughly when you subscribed.

I ran out of credits before the month ended

Credits refill at the start of each period. To get more out of them, switch to a cheaper model in Settings — the app shows the cost per page for each one, and the gap between the cheapest and the most capable model is large. You can also move up a tier.

Do you store my lecture notes or my handwriting?

Not for long. Your documents, notes and handwriting live on your device, and in your own iCloud if you switch on iCloud sync. When you ask for AI notes, that page's text and image (plus the document's outline and, if you recorded the class, what the lecturer said on that page) pass through our server to the model provider and are not written to disk on our side. The only things we hold briefly are background tasks you approve and finished Practice sets. The full detail — including what we do keep, and for how long — is in the Privacy Policy.

The AI got something wrong

It will, sometimes. Notes are generated by a language model: it can misread a diagram, copy a formula wrong, or be confidently mistaken. Treat them as a study aid, not as a source of truth, and check anything that matters against your lecturer's material. If you hit a case that's badly wrong, send it to me — it's the most useful bug report I can get.

Which devices does it work on?

iPad and iPhone. It's built for iPad with Apple Pencil; on iPhone everything works but handwriting on a small screen is cramped. A subscription covers your devices signed in to the same Apple ID.

订阅费到底付的是什么？

付的是 AI。生成笔记时 PageNote 会把当前这一页发给语言模型，按次向服务商付费， 订阅覆盖的就是这部分成本。每一档解锁一组模型和每月的额度；用哪个模型你自己挑， 便宜的模型同样的额度能多跑好几倍的页。

怎么取消订阅？

订阅由 Apple 管理，不在我们这边：在设备上打开 设置 → 你的名字 → 订阅，找到 PageNote 取消。取消后不再续费， 当前周期内仍可继续使用。退款由 Apple 处理，走 reportaproblem.apple.com。

订阅了但 App 里还显示没订阅

打开 PageNote 的设置，点恢复购买，它会重新向 Apple 核对凭证。如果还是不行就发邮件给我，说明你的 Apple ID 所在区域和大概的订阅时间。

这个月的额度提前用完了

额度每期开始时回满。想更耐用的话，去设置里换一个便宜的模型——每个模型每页扣多少额度 App 里直接标着，最便宜和最强的那个差得很远。也可以升一档。

你们会存我的课件和手写吗？

不长期存。文档、笔记、手写在你设备上，开了 iCloud 同步就在你自己的 iCloud 里。请求 AI 笔记时，那一页的文字和图片 （连同课件大纲，录过课的话还有老师讲这一页的转写）会经我们的服务器转发给模型服务商，我们这边不落盘； 我们只按隐私政策所述短暂存放你同意过的后台任务和出好的练习题。完整说明（包括我们确实会留什么、 留多久）在隐私政策里。

AI 讲错了

它确实会错。笔记是语言模型生成的：可能看错图、抄错公式，或者一本正经地讲错。 把它当学习辅助，不要当作准绳，重要的内容对照老师给的材料再确认一遍。 碰到错得离谱的例子发给我——那是我能收到的最有用的反馈。

支持哪些设备？

iPad 和 iPhone。它是照着 iPad + Apple Pencil 做的；iPhone 上功能都在， 但小屏上手写会比较挤。同一个 Apple ID 登录的设备共享订阅。
