PageNote Terms of Service
These terms govern your use of the PageNote app. By using it you accept them. If you do not, please do not use the app.
1. What PageNote does
PageNote imports PDF lecture material, generates study notes for each page using an AI model, and matches an imported problem set against the pages your course has covered. Reading, Apple Pencil annotation and PDF export do not require a subscription or a network connection.
2. Subscriptions and auto-renewal
- PageNote offers auto-renewing subscriptions in three tiers, billed monthly or per semester (six months). Each tier unlocks a set of AI models and a monthly allowance of generation credits.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID at confirmation of purchase.
- A subscription renews automatically unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel a subscription in Settings → your Apple ID → Subscriptions on your device. Deleting the app does not cancel a subscription.
- Where a free introductory period is offered, any unused portion is forfeited if you buy a subscription during that period.
- Current prices are shown in the app before purchase and may vary by region.
3. Free allowance
New installations include a one-off free allowance so you can try the AI features without paying. It is tied to the installation, not to a person, and is not restored on reinstall.
4. Top-up packs
Not available in the current version. If top-up packs are offered in a future release, they will be one-off (consumable) purchases that add credits to an active subscription, and they will not be refundable by us — refunds for App Store purchases are handled solely by Apple under its own policies.
5. AI-generated content
Notes are generated by an AI model and can be wrong. They may misread a diagram, misstate a formula, or invent an explanation that sounds right. Treat them as a study aid, not as an authority. Check anything that matters against your lecturer's material before you rely on it in an exam or assessment.
You are responsible for using the app in a way that complies with your institution's academic integrity rules. PageNote is designed to help you understand and revise your own course material; it is not a service for producing work to be submitted as your own.
6. Your content
The documents you import and the notes you write remain yours. We claim no ownership over them and, as described in the Privacy Policy, we do not store them. You are responsible for having the right to use any material you import.
7. Acceptable use
- Do not use the service to process unlawful material, or material you have no right to use.
- Do not attempt to circumvent quotas, forge receipts, or use the relay service other than through the app.
- Do not attempt to overload, probe or disrupt the service.
We may suspend access that breaches these rules.
8. Availability
The AI features depend on third-party model providers and on network access. They may be temporarily unavailable, and providers may change or retire models. We aim to keep the service working but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.
9. Disclaimer and liability
The app is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind to the fullest extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, including academic outcomes, arising from use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that cannot be excluded — including, in Australia, the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law.
10. Changes and termination
We may update these terms; material changes will be published here with a new date before they take effect. You may stop using the app at any time. Cancelling a subscription ends future billing; notes already on your device remain yours and stay readable.

1. PageNote 做什么
PageNote 导入 PDF 课件，用 AI 模型为每一页生成学习笔记，并把导入的习题册对到 课程已讲到的页上。阅读、Apple Pencil 批注和导出 PDF 不需要订阅，也不需要联网。
2. 订阅与自动续订
- PageNote 提供三档自动续订订阅，可按月或按学期（6 个月）付费。每一档解锁一组 AI 模型和每月的生成额度。
- 确认购买时从你的 Apple ID 扣款。
- 除非在当前周期结束前至少 24 小时关闭自动续订，否则订阅会自动续订。 续订费用在当前周期结束前 24 小时内扣除。
- 可在设备的「设置 → 你的 Apple ID → 订阅」里管理或取消。删除 App 不等于取消订阅。
- 如提供免费体验期，在该期间内购买订阅的，未使用的部分作废。
- 当前价格在购买前于 App 内显示，并可能因地区而异。
3. 免费额度
新安装附带一次性的免费额度，让你不付费也能试用 AI 功能。它绑定在这次安装上而不是绑定到人， 重装不会恢复。
4. 加油包
当前版本没有这个功能。如果以后的版本提供加油包，它会是一次性（消耗型）购买， 把额度加到有效订阅上；我们不提供退款——App Store 购买的退款完全由 Apple 按其政策处理。
5. AI 生成的内容
笔记由 AI 模型生成，可能是错的。它可能看错图表、写错公式， 或者编出一段听着很对的解释。请把它当学习辅助，不要当权威。 凡是重要的内容，在考试或评估中依赖它之前，先和老师给的材料核对一遍。
你有责任以符合所在院校学术诚信规定的方式使用本 App。PageNote 的设计目的是帮你理解和复习 自己的课程材料，不是用来生成要当作自己作品提交的东西。
6. 你的内容
你导入的文档和你写的笔记仍然属于你。我们不主张任何所有权，并且按 隐私政策所述不存储它们。你有责任确保自己有权使用所导入的材料。
7. 可接受使用
- 不得用本服务处理违法材料，或你无权使用的材料。
- 不得试图绕过额度、伪造凭证，或绕开 App 直接使用中转服务。
- 不得试图压垮、探测或干扰本服务。
违反上述规则的访问可能被暂停。
8. 可用性
AI 功能依赖第三方模型服务商和网络。它们可能暂时不可用，服务商也可能变更或下线模型。 我们会尽力维持服务，但不保证不中断。
9. 免责与责任限制
在法律允许的最大范围内，本 App 按「现状」提供，不附任何形式的保证。 我们不对因使用本 App 而产生的间接或后果性损失负责，包括学业结果。 本条款不限制你在消费者法下不可排除的权利——在澳大利亚，包括《澳大利亚消费者法》 项下的消费者保障。
10. 变更与终止
我们可能更新本条款；实质变更会在生效前以新日期发布在这里。 你可以随时停止使用。取消订阅将终止后续扣款；已经存在你设备上的笔记仍然属于你，也仍然可读。
