Backsies Privacy Policy

Summary

Backsies does not collect, store, sell or share any personal data. The app has no account system, no analytics, no advertising, no tracking and no third-party code. It does not connect to any server operated by us.

What stays on your device

• Receipt photos, the text recognized from them, merchant names, amounts, dates, categories, notes and your reminder settings are stored only on your device, in a container shared between the app and its widget.
• Text recognition and any on-device intelligence features run entirely on your device. Nothing is uploaded.
• Reminders are local notifications scheduled on your device.

Camera and Photos

The camera is used only when you choose to scan a receipt. The photo picker only gives Backsies access to the individual images you select. Backsies never browses your photo library.

Purchases

Backsies Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple through the App Store. We do not receive your name, payment details or any other personal information from the transaction.

Backups and deletion

Your data is included in your own device and iCloud backups under Apple's terms. Deleting a receipt removes it from the app; deleting the app removes all of its data.

Children

Backsies does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with an updated effective date.
